The Thoughts of a Ten-Year-Old

Growing up has made me sense the beauty of the rain. I loved wearing warm and comfortable sweaters whenever I go to school and frolic on the muddy grasses of our school playground which helped me develop a wonderful childhood.

The thing I liked about our classroom were the Scholastic books neatly arranged in the bookshelves. When the rain pours down and we can't attend the flag ceremony, we wait for our teacher to come in the classroom by reading wonderful books. This is really nostalgic. And the illustrations I see upon these books widens my imagination into creating various worlds.
When the Wind Blows by Jana Christy
My imaginative mind illustrates a humid city that somewhat takes place in the cities of the United States. Let's picture out New York. Cold, damp streets and oh so windy breeze. If you can't feel the wonderful coldness, turn on the electric fan and read this again. Just kidding hahaha.

I also love spending rainy days at home and watch cartoons or watch movies. My favorite childhood movie was "Where the Wild Things Are" wherein Max was the protagonist as played by Max Records which then was my childhood crush.
Thanks to the books and technology that made my childhood memorable but most importantly, a big hug and a thank you to my dad who raised me well with his hundreds stories of Juan Tamad, Mythological Creatures, all about Science, History and more and more and more!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, PAPA
